I am an Executive Administrative Assistant to the President for Chugach Government Solutions, LLC for the last 3 years. I will be looking for a mid management opportunity while continuing to mentor with leadership after graduating this May with my MBA at Alaska Pacific University. My plan is to continue to work for Chugach or Alaska Native companies in the coming years to support native communities, culture, educational needs and workforce. I have completed the certificate program called Alaska Native Executive Leadership program that helps align the MBA classes to that extent. My last three semesters focused on leadership, organization development and marketing/social media and will wrap up with a capstone project. I want to refine the ability to assess risk and better lead staff and departments toward long term efficiencies so day to day operations are effortless and allow the time for up and coming issues to be addressed in a proactive manner.
For future MBA students, pace yourself and make the most of the classes in your day to day work in the real world. Readily seeing how graduate class theories and best practices can jump out in your daily operations and business goals. This can also help shape your degree and tailor your needs with your current career and job in mind.
