This scholarship is available for students registered in any recognized vocational/certificate/license-based training program.
Students can receive a maximum of $5,750 within a calendar year under this program.
College Scholarship
This scholarship is available for students enrolled in an Associate level or Bachelor level degree program at an accredited college or university.
Students can receive up to $5,750 per academic year at the Associate level, or up to $7,250 per academic year at the Bachelor level.
Application Deadline: August 30th (Fall Term), December 27th (Winter/Spring Term), March 29th (Spring Quarter Term), May 31st (Summer Term)
Graduate Scholarship
This competitive scholarship is available for students enrolled in an accredited graduate or Ph.D. level program.
Students can receive a maximum of $12,100 per academic year under this program.

Regional Focus Scholarship
This incentive scholarship is available for students eligible for the CHF College or Vocational scholarships with the intent to work within the Chugach Region and communities while pursuing education for a career in one of the focus areas designated for the academic year. The 2023-2024 focuses will be Medical programs, Maritime, & Education.
Students can receive a up to $1,000 per academic year under this program. Awardees would receive this award in addition to the College or Vocational scholarships.

Barney Uhart Memorial Scholarship
This competitive scholarship is available to a senior at the undergraduate level or enrolled in a graduate program.
Student(s) who are approved for this award will participate in a paid summer internship (over two summers) and eligible to receive up to $10,000 in additional CHF Scholarship funding.
The travel and lodging for the internship will be also be provided.

Alyeska Alaska Native Scholarship
- Open to students who express a high interest in working within the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Services (TAPS)/oil & gas industry.
- All eligibility and documentation requirements must be met, and applicants must have been approved for either the CHF College, Vocational, or Graduate Scholarship awards.
- Funding for this scholarship is limited, and eligible applications will be funded on a first-come first-serve basis.
Discretionary Scholarship
This scholarship program has limited funding available to assist with unique educational and cultural opportunities.

No. Students who are receiving funds from other sources, may still apply for scholarship funds. CHF does send award letters to each school that states if there are any CHF funds remaining after tuition/program costs have been paid, those funds may be released to the student.

Eligible lineal descendants or siblings of CAC or CHF board members/executives are not eligible to apply for scholarship funding through CHF. Spouses must be a Chugach Alaska Corporation Original Shareholder or direct lineal descendant. If an individual does not meet this requirement, they are not eligible to apply for CHF scholarship programs.

No. When CHF awards a scholarship, those funds are sent directly to the school/educational institution.
Yes. Students may apply for scholarship funding during the summer terms. However, CHF has scholarship funding limits per academic year. If a student has reached the funding maximum during an academic year, they will not be eligible to receive additional scholarship funding for the summer term.

Yes. Individuals may submit applications for multiple scholarship programs at one time. Example: Someone may be enrolled part-time and apply under the College scholarship program while also taking a separate vocational certificate course. In that case, they can submit another application under the Vocational scholarship program at the same time.
