Does the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship have a GPA requirement?

The Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship has a GPA requirement of 2.0 or higher. Failure to maintain a 2.0 GPA will result in a one semester probation period. If the recipient fails to meet the 2.0 GPA requirement during the probation period, Chugach Heritage Foundation can exercise the option to discontinue funding.

In addition to the Scholarship Application, do I need anything else to qualify for the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship?

The following items are needed to qualify for the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship:

• A signed and completed application.
• An official copy of your college, high school, or GED transcripts in a sealed envelope mailed from the institution you are attending. If applicable, a copy of a certificate showing completion of course(s) in an accredited vocational institute.
• If you are not a Chugach Alaska Corporation enrollee, you must provide proof of relationship to a Chugach Alaska Corporation shareholder. Enclose a copy of your birth certificate (natural child) or adoption papers (adopted child).

Are there any conditions attached to the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship once it has been awarded?

Once the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship has been awarded, immediately upon completion of the term(s) or course for which the award was made, the scholarship recipient must submit a copy of his or her unofficial transcripts or certificate of completion to the Chugach Heritage Foundation. Official transcripts are required with our annual application.

Do I need to apply for the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship every semester?

The Chugach Heritage Foundation application is needed only once a year. At the end of each term we require that the student submit their unofficial transcripts. Official transcripts are not required again until you have completed your final term in that academic year.
