Chugachmiut

This Chugachmiut Scholarship seeks to ensure that individuals have the tools necessary to find steady and long-term employment through the provision of training and career development resources, referrals, apprenticeship and higher education information, and advocacy for Native hire. Staff provide career guidance, referrals for job-training and skill development opportunities, identifies scholarship and employment opportunities, assistance with university and scholarship applications, and administers the Higher Education, Vocational Training, Work Experience, and the Welfare to Work Programs. In addition, the staff collaborate with other programs and entities to assist individuals in making career changes and taking advantage of training and educational opportunities. Submit completed applications to Chugachmiut.

Deadlines for this scholarship:

May 31st for Fall semester funding and November 30th for Winter and Spring semester funding.

CIRI Foundation


Contains post-secondary education planning suggestions and listings of print and website scholarship and grant opportunities for attending college or training schools.  The Handbook financial aid listings focus on Alaska Native/Native American.  Published annually by The CIRI Foundation.  37 pages.  Paper.  No charge, free on website.
